Vampyrism

I hope you got really caught by the title on this post, haha. It's because of my make-up and what I'm wearing today, that chose the title. I feel that I look like a vampire right now, except vampires hate crosses... I've done a classic smokey eye today with my Isadora Smoky Eye palette, and I've also tried out the new nail polishes I got for Christmas. I'm wearing a black top I got from my god mother and a beautiful cross necklace I got from a good friend of mine. I'm going to do a post with everything I got for Christmas today or tomorrow, so you'll see everything then. But first, the smokey eye!

Classic smokey eye step-by-step:

You'll need a few things before you start:

  • Black eyeshadow
  • Dark grey eyeshadow
  • Grey eyeshadow
  • Nude eyeshadow (for highlight)
  • Volume and length mascara or false lashes
  • Eyeliner (preferably black)
  • Flat brush (for the eyelid)
  • Buffer brush (for crease and blending)
  • Angled brush (for the lower lash line)

1. Start with the flat brush and take the grey eyeshadow all over your lid, even up to the brow bone.

2. Take the buffer brush in the black eyeshadow and drag it along the crease and the outer corner of the eyelid, do circular motions on the corner. (My brush was a bit too big for this, so choose a smaller buffer brush than I did. It will help you to have more control with a smaller one)

3. Line the waterlines with the eyeliner.

4. Take the angled brush and the dark grey eyeshadow. Run it along the lower lashline.

5. Take the eyeliner again and create a line on the upper lashline that gets bigger at the outer corner of the eyelid.

6. Take the nude eyeshadow or the white eyeshadow, you can choose, and run it along the brow bone, right under the eyebrows. Don't use too much, which is very easy to do if you use a white eyeshadow. This is just to higlight the dark colors, giving your eyes more dimension too.

7. Curl your lashes and put on your mascara.

8. If you want to, you can put on false lashes. This is a good thing to do if you have short eyelashes, because the black eyeshadow will hide your lashes.

9. Remove any fall-outs and then you're done!

PS; Remember to do your usual face routine before you start. As foundation, powder, blush, etc.

My eyes were REALLY brown here. They're usually green, but..

So the nail polish!

Silver and cracked nail polish:

This is the necklace I got from my friend, Marita, by the way.

1. Start with the clear nail polish as a base coat.

2. Put on the silver nail polish.

3. Put on the black cracked nail polish. You have to use a big amount of this nail polish, because it dries and cracks really fast.

4. Put on the clear nail polish again, as a top coat. You can do this twice to make sure it stays.

PS; Remember to make sure that everything has dried before you start on another nail polish!

I will be back tomorrow with the things I got for Christmas! Bye!
