Halloween's coming up, and I have some ideas for you who haven't ordered some high-class costume. You still have some time to get a costume, and these are typical classic clothes you can find in several stores to both high and low prices.
Vampire Bride
Vampire Bride
Choose a white corset with a layer skirt, laces are allowed! Use somewhat vintage bride shoes or anything random white shoes you have. You can switch out the stockings if you want, but switch it to mesh stockings instead. The earrings and the ring is as vintage as I could find, because the whole point with this costume is to look as old as possible, but also sexy. So, there's more to it. Since this is a vampire bride costume, you will have to get vampire teeth. Try to find those you glue to your canines. Make your eyes as smokey as possible, by following a smokey-eyes tutorial. Your hair could be down or you can bring it up if you like, but you should use a bridal-veil anyway. Then you're done! Watch this tutorial to get the perfect vampire look;
Personally I love this look almost too much! It's perfect for halloween, because it's both sexy and a bit scary. I love the bride-idea too. So, that was the vampire-bride!
Hippie
Obviously this had to come. It is fashion from the 60's, so. The yellow flared pants are a typical clothing from the hippie time and it's actually fashion this season. The yellow shirt was random, but you should use something with peace and love signs on it, preferably in a strong color. You should use several bracelets if you like, but try to keep it inside the hippie category. Try to mess up your hair really bad, and make messy braids. After this you just put on a random hippie headband. Preferably leather. Sandals are ok, but if you're staying inside all night you should go barefoot. Paint your nails and toenails in rainbow colours to give it a real effect. Your make-up should be as natural as possible, and if you dare, don't use make-up at all! The glasses hide your eyes anyway if you are going to use glasses. If you have to use make-up, you can try to make this "rainbow" eyeshadow look on the video below;
Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn
The dress is somewhat alike the one Audrey Hepburn is best known for. She uses a necklace of pearls and long silk gloves. The shoes match everything else. This is a very classical look, so you can actually overdo the look by acting very classy. Your hair should be up and with some pearl details where you have tied up your hair. The make-up should also be Audrey Hepburn inspired to make everything as realistic as possible. Follow the tutorial under to get the perfect Audrey Hepburn eyes!
Try to do your hair as she has it! Don't forget pearl earrings!
Good luck, and have a nice halloween!
