You just create a simple account, and press "create > create set ". I tried it out a few times, and I was able to put together two cool outfits for you guys! The one is kind of classic-vintage style, and the second one is something you could have found in a fashion-magazine these days.
I'll tell you more about polyvore under the outfits;
So, this is the vintage-look. I love the classic navy-blue dress on it's own, but I would find it alone a bit to "partyish", so I matched it with a red and glossy waist-belt and shoes in the same colour and fabric as the belt, to make the dress a bit more casual. The hat is optional, but I love hats. I think they fit to almost every outfit, and it also gives the whole outfit a even more casual look.
This is the modern fashion look. The metallic pants are gorgeous and the gold-color matches the buttons on the blouse inside the blazer. The blazer kind of tones down the metallic look, and the shoes matches the blazer. I wanted the jewelry to match the pants, so I found this gold-bracelet and these beautiful Chanel earrings. And again, the hat is optional. I don't think it fits to this outfit, because this outfit is more a masculine and classic/professional look. It's supposed to look professional, not cute, and thats what hats do. They make a cute outfit.
Polyvore
So, these two outfits I made on www.polyvore.com.
It's not hard at all, but it can be a bit confusing when you're searching for special clothes.
When you go into create a set, you get a white screen and a sidebar with optional clothing-categories.
When you press one of them, it changes to a tag, so if you're done looking you have to click on the small
x-mark on the tag, which is between the clothes and the search-bar. A good thing about Polyvore is
that you can search by color. So if you press purple, only purple clothes show up in the sidebar.
When you're done with your outfit, you can actually see where you can get the different clothes.
If the clothes are to be found online, that is. It also tells you the price, at least they did that on all clothes
I used, except for the blouse i used inside the blazer. So if you are bored, or just need some inspiration,
go to www.polyvore.com and create your dream outfit! You can watch other peoples sets too.
I know I'm going to use this sometimes! Maybe I'll do it for a blog thing? Outfit of the day or something!
Enjoy ;-)
