How I take care of my self

I nearly ran out of creativity for blogging, but then it hit me. I can make a post of my routines. How I make my nails look good, my hair shine, my feet and body soft, my face glowing and stuff like that. This is actually things I do before, after and in the shower. If you need any tips on making your lips soft and your hair shine, read this;

Before

When I'm going to the shower, I clean my nails. I recently quit biting nails, because it's a really disgusting habit and I want pretty nails. I still have short nails, so I don't want to use shocking or attention dragging colors on my nails yet. I use the same color on my toes and nails right now. It's a pale pink with some shimmer in it from Nivea. This nail polish doesn't just look good and subtle, but it helps the nails grow strong and repairs them. I really like this nail polish, because it's a beautiful and subtle color. The shimmer gives my nails a glowing touch.

Here it is. I've not taken this picture, so it's not my nails!

Before putting on the nail polish, I clean my nails. I do this by using a stick/pick and drag this under my nails to remove any kind of dirt I have there. If you don't have a pick, you can just use something sharp, but not knife sharp. You don't want to cut yourself under the nails, that's gotta hurt. So just do this until you don't have anything under your nails and then wash your hands. Then your nails are ready for color! This is the sort of pick I use, the only difference is that mine is made of wood;

So, you can see that it fits under your nails. It drags out the dirt! I do this with my toenails to. Your toenails are actually much cleaner than the fingernails, but the toenails gets pieces of your socks under them and between the toes. That's what I'm removing with this thing. I just drag it under, until my toenails look clean. Remember to file your nails too, or else they won't get strong and they will get cracks in them!

In

In the shower I do really a lot of stuff. I don't wash my hair every time I shower, because that could actually dry out your hair. I shower often, like every other day or so. I don't use special stuff in the shower, I just buy products after what I feel my hair or body needs. Right now I'm only doing products that make my hair moist, because the autumn and winter totally ruins my hair and makes it all frizzy. So I'm using Define's shampoo and conditioner for moisturing and they look like this;
Define Moisture Care Balsam
I think they're really good, so that's that. Every other week, I use a hair cure a few times. I don't buy any special hair cure either, but I really like the Gliss hair cures. Right now I'm using one that's making my hair soft like silk, no kidding. It looks like this;

It's for dry hair, and I think it works incredibly good. So when I'm in the shower, I use shampoo first. I let the shampoo be in for a few minutes, because it need a bit time to clean the hair. While I wait I remove my make-up. I prefer mascara that goes off with hot water, so I just drag the mascara off with my finger tips. If I have any eye shadow on, I just drag my finger over the eyelid a few times to get it off. When I wash out the shampoo, it's time for the conditioner. I massage the conditioner into my hair and I let it work for about four-five minutes before washing it out. When the conditioner is still in my hair, I make sure to shave my legs or anything else I need to shave. I do two things at the time to save water, just reminding you that the world is dying. I'm just kidding, I'm only saving time. When I wash off the conditioner I start with my face. Use a small amount of soap and massage it into your skin. Try to do this with your finger tips, because the inside of the hand isn't as good as your finger tips for massage. Just remove the soap with some water. This will leave you with a clean and relaxed feeling in the face. You will also remove any remaining make-up and gain some glow. Then it's time for the hair cure, and this is the boring part. I don't have anything to do while I'm doing the hair cure, so often I just go out of the shower and get my nature hairbrush. Nature hairbrushes are great for getting the hair cure really into your hair. I use the nature hair brush when my hair is dry to, but this is because it does a lot less damage to the hair than a normal brush does. This is the brush I use;

It's absolutely great, but when I use it when my hair is dry, I feel like it doesn't go through my hair. I have to pick out a few locks of hair to do them one by one. When I'm done with the cure I only have to wash my body. I love soaps with a creamy consistence, so that's almost everything I use. I also use a special sponge made of plastic, and the sponge I use is from The Body Shop. I use the sponge all over my body and I rub the places I feel need a bit more cleaning than other places. Like under the feet. Here's the soap and sponge I use;

I really like these, because they make my skin awfully soft. I love it!

After

So, after the shower is the most busy time. I always start with my face. Take a face lotion and dip your two main fingers in it. Now you're going to massage the lotion into your skin. This will give you a glow, and again, a really relaxed face. I absolutely love this method, because I always feel to relaxed and clean. I usually use my body lotion for my face, but it's empty right now, so I'm using my moms wrinkle-cream. It's by L'oreal and it's called REVITALIFT Dermo-Expertise and it looks like this;

I think it works better than my body lotion for my face, because it gives me this beautiful glow. It also makes your skin REALLY soft, I can still feel that my skin is soft from using this one in the morning. That's amazing, because that's like 9 hours ago right now! So, what you're gonna do after this is the rest of your body. I absolutely have a favorite body lotion and it's from Biotherm. It smells like lemons and oranges, it's absolutely beautiful. When you use it, your skin will instantly become the softest skin in the world. I've gotten a few compliments on the smell too. I really like it and I will probably never buy anything else. I usually buy it on airports, because they're always much cheaper there, but you can get them in drugstores and cosmetic stores to. They are a bit expensive, but they are absolutely worth it, I promise. It's called Lait Corporel and looks like this;

When I do all my body, I skip the feet. I do this because I have a foot cream I really love. It's called Gorgeous Feet and it's by Boots. Here in Norway our drugstores are called Boots now, I don't know if they are the same in other countries. So, that means I got it from my nearest drugstore. It smells absolutely beautiful and it leaves my feet so soft. Not only soft, but my feet are actually glowing. It's so amazing. It's not even expensive. It comes in a jar and it has 150 ml in it. It's really thick, so you won't need a big amount of lotion to cover your feet. I just use two fingertips each time. That's really good! Here it is;

Before I put on the foot lotion, I use a foot file to remove any dead skin and make hard skin softer. I just use a normal one by Scholl and it helps a lot. Here it is;

So now we're on to my lips. I've always wanted those perfect lips, so I sort of collected tips on soft lips for a while. I found one I really like, so here I'm gonna tell you about it.

1. After you brush your teeth, start brushing your lips. Do hard back and forth moves, but don't too hard. You're just going to remove dead skin, not the new one. Know your limit on this, because the point is to NOT bleed. You will ruin your lips if you start to bleed, so be careful but do it hard.

2. Take the tip of your towel and dip it in water. The temperature doesn't matter. You're gonna do the same as the first one, but only with a towel. Drag the towel back and forth on your lips. DON'T bleed. You're now removing any remaining skin and cleaning the new one.

3. Use a lip balm at once. Even if you do it in the morning or before you go to bed, use lip balm. You can use Vaseline, it actually works great. Make sure you have a good lip balm. One that doesn't just stay on your lips and makes you skin loose, but one that repairs the lips and makes them soft.

Tip; If you feel that your lips are dry, don't lick them. Licking them doesn't help at all, it just makes the lips more dry. Use a lip balm instead, because this moisturizes your lips.

So that was my "shower-routine". I hope some of the tips helped!
