Maybelline New York; Eyestudio Lasting Drama (Gel Eyeliner)

I just bought this new eyeliner, because I'm so sick of my pen eyeliner and my dry eyeliner sucks to draw lines with. A friend of mine recommended this gel eyeliner for me. It's pretty simple, you get the eyeliner in a small little jar and you get a really thin brush to apply it with. This is how it looks in the box;

It's a really nice package, actually.
Here's without the package;

The consistence of the gel is kind of creamy, but it's kind of hard when you tip the pencil-brush into it. You'd still have to be careful, because if you push it to hard it will actually go deep into the gel. You should just slightly dip the tip in the cream when you are going to use it. The brush has a protection around it, so you won't need to wash the brush every time you've used it, you could just put the "lid" on and put it back into your cosmetics bag. The brush is also very easy to control, so unless you're shaking like an epileptic you won't have any problem applying the eyeliner. I like this gel much more than other eyeliners. The pen eyeliners are very hard to get color out of. At least from mine. The right eye is OK to apply on, but when it comes to the left eye I do all crazy monkey positions to control the pen where I want it, because it has to be upside down to get any color out of it at all. The dry eye-liners, the pencils, are to dry to draw a nice line, because they tend to drag the skin with it, which creates a line with wholes in it. So, if you have the same problem as me, you should absolutely try this gel-liner! It's easy to apply, it's easy to control and you don't need a lot of eyeliner to make a dark line.

Positives; Maybelline's gel-liner is easy to apply. It dries quick and it last for about 24 hours. It comes of when you want it to come off, so it's not easy to remove before you go to bed. It's a small jar, but you don't have to use a lot of eyeliner to make a mark. The jar looks good and it doesn't take much place in your cosmetics bag.
Negatives; I have a feeling that if you leave it in a warm place too long, it will melt. It's also important to be careful when you're dipping the pencil-brush, or else you could make a huge whole in the mass of eyeliner. Keep remembering that it's just like some sort of black cream.

I applied the eyeliner and here's the result;

(The bronze eye shadow I had on before I tested the eyeliner)

I really loved the middle picture.

I think you should try this eyeliner, because I fell completely in love with it!
It's also fast to apply, so you can actually use it every day if you want!

Halloween special

Halloween's coming up, and I have some ideas for you who haven't ordered some high-class costume. You still have some time to get a costume, and these are typical classic clothes you can find in several stores to both high and low prices.

Vampire Bride

Vampirebride

Choose a white corset with a layer skirt, laces are allowed! Use somewhat vintage bride shoes or anything random white shoes you have. You can switch out the stockings if you want, but switch it to mesh stockings instead. The earrings and the ring is as vintage as I could find, because the whole point with this costume is to look as old as possible, but also sexy. So, there's more to it. Since this is a vampire bride costume, you will have to get vampire teeth. Try to find those you glue to your canines. Make your eyes as smokey as possible, by following a smokey-eyes tutorial. Your hair could be down or you can bring it up if you like, but you should use a bridal-veil anyway. Then you're done! Watch this tutorial to get the perfect vampire look;

Personally I love this look almost too much! It's perfect for halloween, because it's both sexy and a bit scary. I love the bride-idea too. So, that was the vampire-bride!

Hippie

Hippie

Obviously this had to come. It is fashion from the 60's, so. The yellow flared pants are a typical clothing from the hippie time and it's actually fashion this season. The yellow shirt was random, but you should use something with peace and love signs on it, preferably in a strong color. You should use several bracelets if you like, but try to keep it inside the hippie category. Try to mess up your hair really bad, and make messy braids. After this you just put on a random hippie headband. Preferably leather. Sandals are ok, but if you're staying inside all night you should go barefoot. Paint your nails and toenails in rainbow colours to give it a real effect. Your make-up should be as natural as possible, and if you dare, don't use make-up at all! The glasses hide your eyes anyway if you are going to use glasses. If you have to use make-up, you can try to make this "rainbow" eyeshadow look on the video below;

Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn

The dress is somewhat alike the one Audrey Hepburn is best known for. She uses a necklace of pearls and long silk gloves. The shoes match everything else. This is a very classical look, so you can actually overdo the look by acting very classy. Your hair should be up and with some pearl details where you have tied up your hair. The make-up should also be Audrey Hepburn inspired to make everything as realistic as possible. Follow the tutorial under to get the perfect Audrey Hepburn eyes!

Try to do your hair as she has it! Don't forget pearl earrings!

Good luck, and have a nice halloween!

Outfit of the day!

"Loose metallic"

Balmain

This I did absolutely not come up with on my own, I wish I had, but I've seen it in a magazine a while ago. The skirt is a skirt made by Balmain, and the loose sweater idea I got from recent fashion-tips. The sweater sort of cools down the metallic skirt. The shoes were absolutely random, but I felt they matched the sweater and boots are also in this season. I love this skirts, but the price is just inhumane. It cost about 10,800 dollars. If I find any good copies of this, I will absolutely buy it! It's not really a norwegian-autumn look, but I can probably handle the cold.
I would wear a black or skin colored thin pantyhose under the skirt. So, I love this look by Balmain, and I will definetly look for any copies in the stores.

I love autumn actually, because of the colors in the forest. I also love rain, somehow. It calms me down, but I just hate that I have to go out in it every early morning. In Norway it's close to winter-cold when autumn is here too, so it kind of ruins some of the coolest fashions, but I love coats, trench-coats and boots, so It kind of weights up to each other. Here's a song that gives me all the feelings autumn gives me. Some cold, some color inspiration and some kind of calm.

Edith Backlund - Sincerely hope it's you

Can't you just feel all the autumn colors surrounding you?

My designs 1

As I said before, I love drawing my own clothes. So, I figured I could show you some of my drawings before I go to bed tonight. I've been working all day with something called OD, and our whole school and other different schools in Norway goes to work for a day to collect 400 NOK, which is about 74 US dollars, and the money goes to Rwanda to build schools. So that's why all my blogging starts at this time, but I will now show you three of my awesome designs!

*I drew this for a friend, and I'm planning to make it for her. She loves laces, so this became a huge inspiration in making this coat. The arms I like to, the inner side is longer than the outer side, which creates a tiny princess look*

*Lately in the fashion magazines you can find models with shirts under their sweaters. I think this could ruin the look of the sweater, so I came up with a sweater with shirt-details. It's not a complete shirt under this sweater, just parts of it like the collar, arms and the bottom as you can see. I really liked this design, because it's a professional look you can wear almost every day*

*I am such a fan of buttons. Huge buttons make everything look so incredibly cute, so I took a high-waist skirt, which is a big part of professional styles, and put buttons on it so it became less dramatic. I don't quite know if I want to just sew the buttons on the skirt, or that the skirt actually is attached to the other end with the buttons. So if you take the buttons off, the skirt kind of just becomes a rectangle instead of a skirt. But I will worry about that later*

So that was some of my designs. I would love to get a few comments on them. If you like them or hate them, just tell me. Maybe you could tell me what I could do to make them all better?

Blake Lively for Chanel

Blake Lively is one of the big icons for fashion nowadays, and every fashion designer loves her.
Karl Lagerfeld is one of her biggest fans, and this has been a great advantage for Blake.
So, a few days ago I checked the official Chanel site, and guess who's fronting her accessory line?
Blake Lively, by the help of Karl Lagerfeld. Lucky girl! She looks beautiful in the pictures and I must say, she aces every style fashion can come up with. I've seen her trashy, classic, hip hop, freaky and almost everything else I can come up with, and she knows how to wear them!
I simply love her, and she is a big inspiration for me. Both with her role in Gossip Girl and the modelling she does. She is absolutely a star with great qualities. So here goes to Blake;

*I love this clutch*

*Look at her inspiring glow*

*They are so adorable! Look how everything on them match each other*

Outfit of the day!

"The workday look"
Workday look

The shirt goes inside the purple sweater. The collar should be outside of it so you have a sweater with a white collar. The shirts arm should be folded over the sweaters arms to create a more casual look. The only details the shirt will show is the collar and the 4-5 cm folded arms on the sweater. The shoes match the bag, and I like the grey color to the purple sweater. I didn't use leggings because I couldn't figure out what color it would be, so you can use a thin pantyhose that match your skin instead. The clock gives it all a professional look. I love this simple look, because it fits to a normal day at school or work, but it's also comfortable. It's a simple look, but it's also a good look. So, therefore I called it "the workday look": It's inspired by both professional and casual looks.
