Vampyrism

I hope you got really caught by the title on this post, haha. It's because of my make-up and what I'm wearing today, that chose the title. I feel that I look like a vampire right now, except vampires hate crosses... I've done a classic smokey eye today with my Isadora Smoky Eye palette, and I've also tried out the new nail polishes I got for Christmas. I'm wearing a black top I got from my god mother and a beautiful cross necklace I got from a good friend of mine. I'm going to do a post with everything I got for Christmas today or tomorrow, so you'll see everything then. But first, the smokey eye!

Classic smokey eye step-by-step:

You'll need a few things before you start:

  • Black eyeshadow
  • Dark grey eyeshadow
  • Grey eyeshadow
  • Nude eyeshadow (for highlight)
  • Volume and length mascara or false lashes
  • Eyeliner (preferably black)
  • Flat brush (for the eyelid)
  • Buffer brush (for crease and blending)
  • Angled brush (for the lower lash line)

1. Start with the flat brush and take the grey eyeshadow all over your lid, even up to the brow bone.

2. Take the buffer brush in the black eyeshadow and drag it along the crease and the outer corner of the eyelid, do circular motions on the corner. (My brush was a bit too big for this, so choose a smaller buffer brush than I did. It will help you to have more control with a smaller one)

3. Line the waterlines with the eyeliner.

4. Take the angled brush and the dark grey eyeshadow. Run it along the lower lashline.

5. Take the eyeliner again and create a line on the upper lashline that gets bigger at the outer corner of the eyelid.

6. Take the nude eyeshadow or the white eyeshadow, you can choose, and run it along the brow bone, right under the eyebrows. Don't use too much, which is very easy to do if you use a white eyeshadow. This is just to higlight the dark colors, giving your eyes more dimension too.

7. Curl your lashes and put on your mascara.

8. If you want to, you can put on false lashes. This is a good thing to do if you have short eyelashes, because the black eyeshadow will hide your lashes.

9. Remove any fall-outs and then you're done!

PS; Remember to do your usual face routine before you start. As foundation, powder, blush, etc.

My eyes were REALLY brown here. They're usually green, but..

So the nail polish!

Silver and cracked nail polish:

This is the necklace I got from my friend, Marita, by the way.

1. Start with the clear nail polish as a base coat.

2. Put on the silver nail polish.

3. Put on the black cracked nail polish. You have to use a big amount of this nail polish, because it dries and cracks really fast.

4. Put on the clear nail polish again, as a top coat. You can do this twice to make sure it stays.

PS; Remember to make sure that everything has dried before you start on another nail polish!

I will be back tomorrow with the things I got for Christmas! Bye!

Happy Christmas!

I've been sick since Friday past week, and I've also had a lot to do around Christmas, so that's why I haven't blogged at all. I'm going to start blogging for real on Monday again. I actually have a lot to blog about now, so that'll be fine. I'm actually looking forward to start again. I hope all of you have had a nice Christmas and that you all will enjoy the upcoming days. My Christmas was great. I got everything I wanted except for two things, so I'm satisfied with the gifts. The celebration with my family was quite... chaotic, but it was cozy too. I didn't have the dress I wanted to wear for Christmas, but I found something else that was really cute. I will do pictures and such of what I got, what I wore and such things. Also, my main computer is broken, so I'm using my small computer which is extremely slow and lags a lot. I'm really exited to start again! See you soon!

I hope you like the new theme!

Outfit of the day!

"Harem gold look"
Harem gold

I really like baggy harem-pants, and I found inspiration to make an outfit with it. I really like these Jeffrey Campbell shoes, so I wanted to make the outfit in it's color. The white shirt is only a basic, and the knit sweater is the main top. I love knitted sweaters, and they're perfect for this season. The Jimmy Choo clutch is perfect and I love the design and color. I wanted to match several bracelets together, so I went with a clock and a big bracelet. I love gold earrings like these, because they can fit any style. Go for natural make-up and a trench coat for this outfit.

I'm so sorry I didn't blog yesterday, but I wasn't home before eleven o'clock. I have to read for a test tomorrow, so I won't blog so much today. I will try to do one post at least. We'll see!

Leather gloves!

Today I wore my black leather gloves I got last year. I think I bought them at Monki, but I'm not quite sure. Some guys in my class started playing with them, and they said I could blog about it. And so I will. Not about them playing with the gloves, but about leather gloves at all.

Leather gloves is a really great accessory for the winter, especially leather gloves with some kind of soft fabric at the inside. The leather really blocks the cold wind outside, leaving you with warm hands. They also look really classic, and I really love that. You can make so many different looks with leather gloves. You can make it classy, rocked, cute or any other look you want, because leather gloves comes in so many shapes, designs and colors.

I really like this look, because it looks so masculine and classic. The leather gloves gives the brown coat a much more masculine look. The color matches perfectly and compliments each other really well. Her make-up makes this look a bit more feminine. This coat is a big trend now too, because it's oversized.

This look is a more rocked one. The fur jacket changes it all, and the leather gloves end up giving a more rockstar look than classy business woman. I like this a lot, because faux fur and faux leather is a big trend this year, and also they go really great together.

I completely fell in love with these! They are so adorable! I really like the design, and the metallic bow completes the whole glove. This is a good example on how a leather glove can give you that sweet and adorable look.

I don't know what kind of look this is, but I would say rocked or cool. Matching your gloves to your handbag, purse, bag or clutch is a good idea. I like this glove design too, and I've seen it a lot. There was lots of these gloves in London in November.

So, you should definitely invest in a pair of leather gloves. I've had mine for a year, and they're still good. It's a classic and timeless accessory! I chose black ones, because black is a basic color. I'm looking for burgundy, white and brown leather gloves now. I really like the braiding, knitting or laces on mine, I don't know what to call it... Here they are:

Outfit of the day!

"Brown layers look"
Brown layers

Today was a really crappy day, so I wanted to make something comfortable. I like layering, because every clothing compliments the other. Start with a black long top, make sure it covers your butt. Take a long cardigan like the brown one on the picture and take the tubescarf on. You should put the gold clock over your cardigan arms. I would go for a leather jacket in the same color as the cardigan, or at least a color that matches the outfit. The shoes can be whatever. I would recommend using winter shoes, like mountain shoes or warm boots. I just chose these, because I didn't find what I wanted... Go for smokey eyes or a natural make-up look for this. You can wear a cap too, but make sure it's the same color as the tubescarf!

Outfit of the day!

"Pink jewelry look"
Pink jewelry

So, today I made a look-a-like outfit. I really liked this, because it looks really good together. I actually wanted the tights to be dark grey, but. I would choose a longer basic black top than the one I have here, because it's going to work as a dress. The cardigan I really liked here, because the color is so beautiful and the design looks really comfy and warm. You're going to take the black belt over the cardigan at the waist. This just gives you a better shape than just a cardigan. The color of the shoes compliments the light pink cardigan, and I really like these wedges. The silver necklace tops it all, giving it a more modern an chic look. The pearls are feminine, and the earcuff makes it less feminine. This is a very balanced look between chic and rocked. The ring is a different detail, because it doesn't match the outfit, but it matches the nail polish. Pink cheeks are perfect for this, and it highlights the main color.

Atop The Jewelry Box Earrings

As I mentioned before, I've done a new buy. It was actually just a buy to make sure I get the things I order from that site. I've never ordered anything from that site before, so I ordered something cheap, but still something I liked and wanted. So I ended up with a pair of elegant earrings! I haven't got them yet, so I'm still waiting in excitement. I ordered them from modcloth.com, which is a site I've told you about before. It sells indie and vintage clothes, so I really like the clothes there. I've figured that my style is elegant and indie looking, and that's an odd combination.

Atop The Jewelry Box Earrings

I really like these earrings, because of the teardrop diamond. I actually tend to avoid long earrings, but these were just so beautiful and elegant. I'm really looking forward to getting them. I've also ordered two Christmas gifts to my friends, Emma and Linda, from Modcloth. I obviously won't show you what the gifts are until after Christmas, but I think they will be happy. I'm also really excited about my boyfriend's present! I hope he's gonna be happy. Well, at least I will get these soon. I hope. So there will be pictures when they arrive! I got them here; http://www.modcloth.com/shop/earrings/atop-the-jewelry-box-earrings

Hypnotic and festive eyes

So, I've been having fun with some make-up today, and the result was really pretty.
I created really hypnotic eyes, but they looked really festive too. I think I'm going to
do this for Christmas or at least New Years Eve! This look was perfect for me, because
it changed my green eyes to brown eyes, and I love having really brown eyes. So, here's
a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it. I don't have pictures as the last time, like, a new
picture every time I put a new layer of eyeshadow on or anything, because it was not a
plan to make a tutorial at first, and also it takes less time. So enjoy this hypnotic and festive
make-up look!

Tutorial for "Hypnotic and festive eyes"

*That was really bad pictures, sorry!*

So, you'll need a few things before you start!

Needed;
  • Burgundy eyeshadow
  • Dark grey eyeshadow
  • Gold eyeshadow (not eyedust)
  • Buffer brush (left)
  • Crease brush (middle)
  • Normal brush for the eyelid (right)
  • Brown/black/grey eyeliner
  • Lash curler
  • Mascara
Step-by-step;

1. Use the biggest brush (eyelid brush) with the burgundy eyeshadow. Bring the eyeshadow all the way up to the brow-bone.

2. Dip the crease brush in the dark grey eyeshadow and line you crease with it. Don't use too much, because it should not be too dark.

3. Take the buffer brush with the dark grey color and use it at the outer corner of the eyelid, but under the crease lining you did. Do circle motions while bringing the color halfway into the lid.

4. Take the biggest brush again and dip it in the gold eyeshadow. Carefully press the eyeshadow on the eyelid, under the crease.

5. Take your eyeliner and line your waterlines, the upper and the lower. This frames your eyes really good and you will get that hypnotized look.

6. Curl your lashes and put mascara on, make sure to spread and lengthen the lashes really good.

7. Remove any fall-outs under the eyes, and there you go!

PS; Remember to do your usual face-routine before starting the make-up. Like foundation, powder and concealer, such things. It would be great with a burgundy blush for this look!
